Christian Activism: Can Christianity Survive The Modern Cultural Attitudes?

May 1, 2016 by Justin Steckbauer

The loyal Christian, dedicated to the Heavenly Father must be an activist in the pluralistic global environment post 9/11. We've put up with a lot in the United States.  Many decisions have been made, and many changes have occurred in recent years.  How are Christians to respond to the new cultural attitudes of casual sex, the embracing of homosexuality, child … [Read more...]

Why Do You Believe in God?

April 23, 2016 by Justin Steckbauer

If someone asks me, "Why do you believe in God?" I don't necessarily say "I just have faith."   Many might say that. But for someone who asks that question, I need to know how to defend my faith. So my response is this:   I think it's very reasonable to believe in God. Let me tell you why:   1. The universe exists and it must have a cause, everything that begins to exist … [Read more...]

On the Study of Apologetics

April 19, 2016 by Tim McGrew

(The following note originated as a response on Facebook, written to someone who was asking in the CAA for technical help in an argument he had gotten into about the use of Bayes’s Theorem in arguments regarding the historical Jesus. In the subsequent comments thread I clarified what I was saying, and I have added some of those clarifications to the note here.) ***** I’m … [Read more...]

Dangers and Consequences of Christian Universalism (Part 1)

April 18, 2016 by Rajkumar Richard

Some Christians, who endorse Universalism a.k.a. Christian Universalists, vociferously claim that all people (irrespective of spirituality and/or morality) are heaven-bound. They believe in the following: (1) Christ’s atoning death is for the salvation of all mankind. (2) The historical-grammatical interpretation of the Bible is incorrect e.g. ‘Hell’ lacks context; there … [Read more...]

Did Jesus Exist? (Part 5: Mara Bar-Serapion & the Talmud)

April 12, 2016 by James Rochford

It’s remarkable that many thinking people today deny the historical existence of Jesus. In this series of articles, we have been exploring the evidence for the existence of Jesus purely from extrabiblical sources, rather than by appealing to the NT documents (see Evidence Unseen “Part Four,” 2013). In earlier articles in this series, we have considered the works of … [Read more...]

Christ, Christianity, and Plato’s Cave

April 9, 2016 by Derrick Stokes

I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.- C. S. Lewis In Plato’s famous work The Republic, written around 380 B.C., he gives an allegory commonly known as The Cave. In this discourse he describes people who are trapped in a cave from birth. The inside of the cave is all they know. They … [Read more...]

Book Review: Grand Central Question

April 7, 2016 by Mark McGee

Grand Central Question: Answering the Critical Concerns of the Major Worldviews by Abdu Murray (IVP Books, 2014) is a great read for all Christians who are sharing or want to share the Gospel of Christ with people in their community. Abdu Murray is North American Director with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. Grand Central Question is his second book. His first … [Read more...]

A god Who Admits All People to Heaven is…(God Cannot Save All People)

April 2, 2016 by Rajkumar Richard

Very minimally, Universalism or Inclusivism asserts that God will save all people whether they believe in Christ or not. However, Universalism severely debilitates God, which I will now strive to elaborate. … [Read more...]

Steeled Faith

March 30, 2016 by Terrell Clemmons

A Review of Against the Flow: The Inspiration of Daniel in an Age of Relativism, by John Lennox In the early sixth century BC, four Hebrew boys, probably teenagers at the time, were forcibly deported from the tiny state of Judah in Israel to live out their lives in service to the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar. It would have been easy for Daniel and his three friends to … [Read more...]

So What If There’s A Gay Gene? So What If You Are Born Gay?

March 18, 2016 by Rajkumar Richard

Why is the pro-gay lobby eagerly waiting for the discovery of a gay gene? Is it to possess a so-called legitimate excuse to practice homosexuality? If a gay gene is discovered, would it offer true legitimacy to practice homosexuality? First things first, homosexuality is a deviant or an abnormal behavior whether it’s viewed from a natural or from a Historic Christian … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
