Dealing with Apparent Failure in Apologetics

December 8, 2013 by Mark McIntyre

It is my guess that just about everyone who is interested in Christian apologetics is aware of 1 Peter 3:15 in which Peter encourages believers to be ready to make a defense (apology) to everyone who asks about our hope. Yet, when we make that defense, not everyone responds to the claims of the Gospel. Admittedly, sometimes the lack of response is because of a poor … [Read more...]

Defending the Faith by Mary Jo Sharp – Book Review

December 8, 2013 by Mikel Del Rosario

A Review of Defending the Faith Looking for a book on women’s ministry that stands out from the crowd? I found one. It’s a great new book I was given by Kregel on apologetics in women’s ministry: Defending the Faith by Mary Jo Sharp. … [Read more...]

Convince Me There’s A God – Archaeology 6

December 7, 2013 by Mark McGee

Many atheists have asked me why I converted from strong atheism to Christianity rather than to some other belief system. The simple answer is that Christians had the answers to my questions. I had studied various Eastern religions years earlier and didn’t find truth in any of them. Atheism was the only belief system that made sense, until I met Christians who were … [Read more...]

Ask the Alliance: Is Jesus a copycat myth?

December 7, 2013 by CAA Guests and Features

:::Ask the Alliance Question #6::: Question submitted by Richard: I am a senior at Liberty University. I am definitely a firm believer in the fact that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave. I know that he is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have a question. I watched this video on youtube called Real Proof that Jesus was NOT real. I don't believe it, but I would like … [Read more...]

Mere Christianity | Why the ‘Christian’ God?

December 5, 2013 by CAA Catechism

[This post is a work in progress as part of the CAA Catechism.] [Add the title only in the title field, not in the body of the post.] Summary in 400 words or less: While much diversity exists within Christendom, there is a great deal of agreement and unity over primary issues. Focusing on the unity, the three great branches of the church (Eastern Orthodoxy, Roman Catholicism, … [Read more...]

Epicurean Paradox (Mis)understood

December 5, 2013 by Prayson Daniel

A great amount of ink is being spilled on the so called the problem of evil. Without doubt the problem of pain and suffering is the most essential, and probably the most influential, case against the providence of a benevolent God in mankind's world. The burden of proof, in this article, is to show that the classical problem of pain and suffering should not be understood as a … [Read more...]

Richard Dawkins Helps Answer Christopher Hitchens

December 2, 2013 by Carson Weitnauer

Christopher Hitchens, in his Introduction to the Portable Atheist: Essential Readings for the Nonbeliever, has a witty counter to those who claim that religious people are especially good: My own response has been to issue a challenge: name me an ethical statement made or an action performed by a believer that could not have been made or performed by a non-believer. As yet, I … [Read more...]

Apologetics through the Dystopian

December 1, 2013 by Zak Schmoll

I enjoy dystopian novels. However, it isn’t just a bizarre interest of mine. Right now, people are flocking to the movie theaters to see Catching Fire or swarming the bookstores to pick up Allegiant. In generations past, you could pick up Lord of the Flies or even Fahrenheit 451 to see a depiction of a world gone wrong. In the past, I have thought of these novels more as an … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
