A Tale of Two Nazi Sons

December 5, 2015 by Terrell Clemmons

A Review of What Our Fathers Did: A Nazi Legacy Philippe Sands, an international human rights lawyer, was doing research for a book on the Nuremberg trials, when he met Niklas Frank and Horst von Wächter. Niklas and Horst, both born in the spring of 1939, had known each other as boys. Their fathers were both prominent Nazis all through World War II, and this was the common … [Read more...]

What is a Scientific Consensus? Does it prove anything?

December 4, 2015 by Justin Steckbauer

Source photo of the Putnam Gallery at Harvard The term "scientific consensus" is often tossed around in the media.  Experts, pundits, and everyday people cite "scientific consensus" as evidence for global warming, macro-evolution, and even atheism. What is a scientific consensus?  Well in theory a scientific consensus would indicate that the vast majority of … [Read more...]

Eddie Redzovic Assures Us That The Islamic State Has Nothing To Do With Islam

December 1, 2015 by Jonathan McLatchie

The Deen show is a popular Muslim Dawah TV program, hosted by Eddie Redzovic. They frequently interview ex-Christian converts to Islam, who unfortunately often butcher their alleged former faith, showing little to no understanding of Christian theology. I and others have offered to come on the show and do a debate with Eddie or anyone of his choice, but unfortunately Eddie … [Read more...]

The Facts on Christianity: A Quick Examination

December 1, 2015 by Justin Steckbauer

Source of image from CrossExamined.org “The Bible encourages people to put their faith in God. Unfortunately, many people equate faith with a blind leap in the dark or wishful thinking. But the faith that the Bible requires is intelligent faith. It is neither blind nor irrational. Biblical faith is a committing trust with an object (God) who is worthy of our faith. No … [Read more...]

Ultimate Questions and “Sufficient” Evidence

November 29, 2015 by Chris Reese

In his recent book The Big Question, Alister McGrath looks at the relationship between science and life's ultimate questions, including God, meaning, and morality.  He notes that some people find it comforting to avoid these ultimate questions and take refuge in what appears to be the safer surroundings of science: "The moment we step outside the safe world of science, we find … [Read more...]

The Facts on the Ground: Science, God, and the testimony of Great Thinkers

November 21, 2015 by Justin Steckbauer

“Discoveries of the last half of the 20th century have brought the scientific community to the realization that our universe and our planet in the universe are so remarkably unique that it is almost impossible to imagine how this could have happened accidentally, causing many agnostic scientists to concede that indeed some intelligent creative force may be required to account … [Read more...]

Beware of ‘Eastern Lightning’

November 18, 2015 by Mark McGee

Have you heard of Eastern Lightning? If not, hang on because it’s quite a story. Eastern Lightning is also known as the Church of the Almighty God, Church of the True God, Church of the Everlasting Fountain, and Real God and it’s a growing *cult in mainland China, Hong Kong, Korea, Laos, Vietnam, Australia, Europe, Canada and the United States. *Cult – “a small religious … [Read more...]

What is the Matrix?

November 17, 2015 by Justin Steckbauer

What is the matrix?  In light of the rise in secular humanism and the growing concerns over political, economic, and banking corruption worldwide, one must wonder... What is going on here?  Why is the depravity so pervasive?  What is causing this rise in corruption? I first began to understand some things when I read a book called 1984 by George Orwell.  I … [Read more...]

Six Flawed Claims in Buzzfeed’s “I’m Christian But I’m Not…”

November 16, 2015 by Anthony Weber

Plenty has been written about Buzzfeed's viral video featuring people who address all the ways they believe Christians have been unfairly stereotyped. As much as I appreciate the spirit behind their attempt, I'm not as thrilled with every aspect of it. Though there are some solid observations, there are also a number of claims that reveal a fair amount of confusion about what … [Read more...]

Did Jesus Exist? (Part 1: Tacitus)

November 13, 2015 by James Rochford

Jesus of Nazareth has had more of an impact on world history than any other man to have walked the face of the Earth. In their 2013 book Who’s Bigger? Where Historical Figures Really Rank (published by Cambridge University Press) Steven Skiena and Charles B. Ward place Jesus of Nazareth as the most significant figure in all of human history. And rightly so. Two thousand … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
