Koukl talks to a waiter

January 22, 2013 by Paul Buller

I enjoyed listening to the opening part of Greg Koukl's show Stand to Reason some time ago. You can find it by scrolling down to November 18, at this link. Very briefly, Koukl had a fascinating chat with a waiter, but the conversation simply didn't go anywhere! They talked about all kinds of interrelated stuff that was all connected to the big questions of life, but they didn't … [Read more...]

Has Science Eliminated GOD?

January 22, 2013 by Nelis Ebersohn and Jason Dennett

In this teaching, I investigate the all important question: "Has Science Eliminated the Need for God?"  In a culture that is growing increasingly more committed to materialistic naturalism, and to a strong devotion to "scientism", this is an extremely important issue to know how to address with your colleagues and friends when discussing the Christian Worldview. Here are 5 … [Read more...]

Love Wins Critique (Part 6)

January 21, 2013 by Darren Rodrigues

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 (in this part, I examine the importance the doctrine of hell and whether I've been "judgmental" of Rob Bell) Is Hell an Essential or Core Christian Doctrine? How are doctrines important?  Additionally, where does the doctrine of hell fall when it comes to essential Christian doctrine?  Paul warns us in Acts 20:27-31: For I have not … [Read more...]

Filtering Science From Dawkins’ Scientism

January 21, 2013 by Prayson Daniel

In "Growing Up in the Universe" lecture, Richard Dawkins informed us that, “The universe is nothing but a collection of atoms in motion, human beings are simply machines for propagating DNA, and the propagation of DNA is a self-sustaining process. It is every living object’s sole reason for living.”[1] Dawkins’ metascience is ingeniously knitted in science in a way that a … [Read more...]

Putting God Back Into the Equation

January 20, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

As students of the Word of God, we receive many disparaging remarks about our precious Holy Bible. I can’t tell you how many times individuals have approached me, telling me how man alone wrote the Bible and use the fact that there are countless extraneous books left out to fit an agenda of modern Christianity. The Gospel of Judas, Thomas, Mary Magdalene, Jehoiakim, or whatever … [Read more...]

Community Apologetics – one model

January 19, 2013 by Paul Buller

This month the CAA has featured a series of articles on community apologetics. I throw my hat into the ring with this little piece describing the history of a community apologetics group I am involved in. Past Back in 2009 the original "Atheist bus ads" came to Calgary, Canada. They were placed throughout much of Europe and North America. You may remember them, "There probably … [Read more...]

The Sword that Slays in Silence

January 19, 2013 by JC Lamont

Crimson tears doth fall as blood, From soul’s wound of betrayal; A thorn veiled as a rosebud, For once we took sweet counsel. 'Twas not mine enemy, who Sold me to the hands of death; Nor foes who insult anew, Whilst I fight for every breath. … [Read more...]

Apologetics and Retaliation

January 18, 2013 by Austin Gravley

Recently I have been thinking about retaliation and it's connection to apologetics. If you are talking with someone who is hostile, aggressive, or uncivil, what does one do? It's rare when I write on apologetics that 1 Peter 3:15-16 doesn't come up, and it is going to do so again. Specifically, it is at the end of verse 15 that I wish to highlight: 15 But in your hearts honor … [Read more...]

Community Apologetics: Starting with your family

January 18, 2013 by Maryann Spikes

Before you venture out on your voyage to becoming a community apologist, it’s time for a status check.  Fellow CAA blogger, Austin Gravley, points out that becoming a community apologist ripples out from your relationship with Jesus.  The next peak in the ripple:  If you have a family, they are the first community for which you are responsible.  Before you swim off to prevent … [Read more...]

How To Get Apologetics In Your Local Church, Volume 2

January 17, 2013 by CAA Guests and Features

In 2012, Brian Auten at Apologetics315 hosted a second series on how to get apologetics in your local church. He has graciously permitted us to repost the table of contents for this series. Enjoy! .... Two years ago, Apologetics 315 addressed the question: "How do I get apologetics in my church?" with an essay series, ebook, and podcast. The goal of this project was simple: … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
