October 30, 2015 by Terrell Clemmons

Unfashionable History A Review of How the West Won: The Neglected Story of the Triumph of Modernity by Rodney Stark Americans are becoming increasingly ignorant of how the modern world came to be what it is, says Rodney Stark. A generation ago, most college curricula included a course in Western Civilization that covered Western achievements in art, music, literature, … [Read more...]

It’s Not Just Entertainment

October 17, 2015 by Anthony Weber

At this year's Traverse City Film Festival, anyone in downtown Traverse City  inevitably saw a poster with this year’s slogan: “One Great Movie Can Change You.” I completely agree. This is not a new insight, of course. People have recognized the power of entertainment for thousands of years. However, the slogan has encouraged me to revisit how the arts and entertainment both … [Read more...]

October 13, 2015 by Luke Nix

Last month I continued a chapter-by-chapter summary review of Scott Klusendorf's book "The Case For Life: Equipping Christians to Engage the Culture" (paperback, Kindle, GoodReads, Video Trailer, Interview, Life Training Institute). Today I will conclude the summary with Part 4 of the book and my thoughts and recommendation. Part 4- Pro-Life Christians Teach and Equip Chapter … [Read more...]

Wayward Pines

September 16, 2015 by Anthony Weber

“Before I built a wall I’d ask to know what I was walling in, or walling out." Blake Crouch’s Wayward Pines books, which have recently experienced a resurgence thanks to M. Night Shamylan's recent television show of the same name, have sold over 1 million copies in twenty-five countries.  Shamylan diverged from the book series around Episode 5; this review will focus on the … [Read more...]

The Imperfections of the Quran – 3

September 3, 2015 by Samuel Inbaraja

The formation of the Authorised Version – the Uthmanic Codex, presents us with an important reason as to why the Quran is incomplete and imperfect. “ According to Dani, the companion of the prophets came to him and complained to him about the sharp divergences of Kuranic recitations that had appeared among  Muslims – just as had been the case, he warned, among Jews and … [Read more...]

Why Did God Kill the Midianite Boys in Numbers 31? Part Four.

August 25, 2015 by JC Lamont

Through literary apologetics, this four-part series examines one of the more difficult passages in which to reconcile the God of the Old Testament with the God of love, namely Numbers 31:13-18, which records the mass killing of Midianites including baby boys. As mentioned before, I find this particular passage abhorrent; however, after researching the cultural context, I do … [Read more...]

A Response To “Planned Parenthood is Not Selling Baby Parts, You *** Idiots"

August 16, 2015 by Anthony Weber

When Skepchick Rebecca Watson wrote her viral post on the Planned Parenthood scandal (“Planned Parenthood is Not Selling Baby Parts, you F*** Idiots"), no one had to guess which side she was defending or what she thought of the pro-life crowd. The article is worth considering – not because she's right, but because she is frustratingly wrong in both her facts and assumptions. As … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
