Do Atheists Have Morals?

November 5, 2012 by Cory Tucholski

Atheists really like to fight against us ignorant theists who say they have no morals.  We’re the backwards hicks who take instruction from a book written by ignorant goat-herders who believed the earth was flat and that the sky was a dome that contained the sun, moon, and stars (all of which circled the earth!).  What do we know about morality? Atheists are so enlightened … [Read more...]

What Caused God?

November 4, 2012 by Henry William

Adam: Chris, earlier in our conversation you said that physical reality must've been caused by something—either by God or by something like God. Right? Chris: Yeah, that’s right. Adam: That’s all very well. But then what caused God? Chris: I’m not entirely sure I understand your question. Can you elaborate a bit? Adam: Well, take the so-called argument for a … [Read more...]

On the statement that "we are all atheists"

November 3, 2012 by J.w. Wartick

"We are all atheists to other religions, we [atheists] just take it one step further." The phrase initially has some kind of shock value, and then it gets you thinking. As a Christian, it may have you thinking, "Wow, I never thought of it that way... maybe there is something to this 'atheism' thing." As an atheist, it may have you saying "Yeah, you Christians are just as … [Read more...]

"If You Don't Want God, You'd Better Have a Multiverse"

November 3, 2012 by Tom Gilson

Late in 2008 Discover Magazine published an article that contains one of the clearest reasons any scientist has ever stated for favoring multiverse theory. I encourage you to follow this through to the end for the key statement, and then ask yourself: is he reasoning from science or from theology? Discover Magazine tackled the fine-tuning problem in a December 2008 article … [Read more...]

The Discrepancies of Bart Ehrman Examined

November 2, 2012 by John Fraser

In his debate against William Lane Craig on “Is There Historical Evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus?” Bart Ehrman gives a laundry list of alleged discrepancies in the Gospel accounts of the Resurrection (transcript here). Ehrman argues that the Gospels are not reliable as history because of these discrepancies. Detailed examination, however, will show that Ehrman’s alleged … [Read more...]

The Devil’s Delusion by David Berlinski – A Book Review

November 2, 2012 by Carson Weitnauer

Bias. In order to undercut an unpleasant argument, just claim that prejudicial self-interest blinds another person from seeing the error of their ways. So what to make of Dr. Berlinksi, with a Ph.D. from Princeton and time spent as a postdoctoral fellow in mathematics and molecular biology at Columbia University, who opens his critique of the New Atheists by claiming: Here it … [Read more...]

Is there no truth, are all beliefs true, or is there only one truth?

November 1, 2012 by Maryann Spikes

This is something to consider in relationship to these objections to the objective truth of Christianity: 1) Claiming that Christianity is "the" truth steps on other people's toes. 2) Science doesn't even know the answers, and yet you claim to. 3) Like saying chocolate is your favorite icecream, faith equals opinion. These are the options regarding objective truth: … [Read more...]

Reason #2 Christianity is Unique: It is Compatible

October 30, 2012 by Nelis Ebersohn and Jason Dennett

Does the Christian Worldview match up with our Universe? Is Christianity compatible with our experience of reality?  (Part 2 of 5) This is one of the most important questions that needs to be asked of any/every worldview, but unfortunately gets overlooked quite often - the question of compatibility.  If a worldview claims to be true, and to describe reality in a comprehensive … [Read more...]

The New Atheism and Five Arguments for God

October 30, 2012 by CAA Guests and Features

Reprinted with the gracious permission of William Lane Craig. Are there good arguments for God’s existence? Have the so-called New Atheists shown that the arguments for God are no good? Copyright © 2010 by Christ on Campus Initiative (CCI) It’s perhaps something of a surprise that almost none of the so-called New Atheists has anything to say about arguments for God’s … [Read more...]

Humanizing The Humanist

October 29, 2012 by Seth Osenkarski

Science is definitely an area of our society placed on a pedestal. Why shouldn’t it be, any fields of scientific research has yielded some great discoveries and essential inventions. Without the studies of physics, mathematics, and computer science I could not be communicating with you through the internet right now. However, the term science in the broadest sense is being … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
