Four Essential Questions For Teaching From A Christian Worldview

May 3, 2013 by Jonathan Morrow

Recently, I wrote about how and why we are failing our students. But, what does it mean to teach from a christian worldview? The foundation of the Christian worldview is the conviction that in Christ are “hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col. 2:3). In other words, Jesus has the best information about everything. To live out a Christian worldview is to “think … [Read more...]

To Tell Truth From Error: The Church's Teaching Responsibility

May 3, 2013 by Tom Gilson

We don't know how to tell truth from error, and it's time for the church to take responsibility. The Roman Catholic Church in New York is promoting Jesus Christ as "The Original Hipster." I saw that on the news not long ago, just a day after I found out  an online poll by Prospect magazine had Richard Dawkins being named the world's top thinker.Neither of these speaks well for … [Read more...]

“That’s Just What You Think”: Responding to Relativism

May 2, 2013 by Carson Weitnauer

The other night, while I was at an outdoor party and cookout, I got into a very interesting conversation with a friend of a friend. Her outlook on life was quite different from my own, which led me to ask a number of questions to better understand where she was coming from, how she saw life, and what was important to her. Overall, we were having an engaging, lively … [Read more...]

The Search For Truth – Rationalism

April 28, 2013 by Dr. J.R. Miller

In the ongoing effort to develop an Incarnational Apologetic to reach the post-modern person, it is important to understand four basic approaches in the search for truth. Rationalism Agnosticism Experientialism Pragmatism In this video post, I want to focus on Rationalism which is defined as follows: Rationalism is any system that stresses reason as the means of … [Read more...]

The Secret Garden: The Book of Nature and Religious Pluralism

April 26, 2013 by Melissa Cain Travis

At any given time, I am reading a non-fiction book and a work of fiction literature. I never choose one based on the other, but occasionally I am surprised by a marked correlation between the two. That very thing happened to me over the past two weeks as I read The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and The End of Christianity by William A. Dembski. … [Read more...]

Book Review: Has Christianity Failed You?

April 24, 2013 by Luke Nix

One of the major obstacles that I come against in defending the Christian worldview is simply a misunderstanding of the worldview. So many times people tell me that they reject Christianity based on one thing or another that Christianity teaches. In the vast majority of the cases people are rejecting something that is not Christian but they believe is Christian. In Has … [Read more...]

The Myth that the Bible is a Myth

April 23, 2013 by Robin Schumacher

Rice Broock's recent opinion piece on FoxNews speaks about the strong popularity of the History Channel’s “Bible” miniseries and describes how it has once again unearthed the debate over whether the events chronicled in Scripture are history or fiction. Atheists and skeptics have consistently answered that question with the assertion that the Bible is nothing more than a … [Read more...]

Is Religion a Negative Force in the World?

April 23, 2013 by Cory Tucholski

It's common for the nonreligious to claim that religion is to blame for all of the negativity in the world: wars, overpopulation, ignorance of science, bad parenting, and so on.  Religion is a terrible, horrible thing they contend and is fit only for elimination.  After that, the world can go on. But is religion as horrible as these folks claim?  A user at ThinkAtheist named … [Read more...]

Case For Atheism: Incompatibility of Bodiless Person?

April 21, 2013 by Prayson Daniel

In Philo, the Society of Humanist Philosophers published journal of Philosophy, Theodore M. Drange presented 10 incompatible properties arguments against the existence of God. In this article I explored Drange’s 7th argument, namely the incompatibility of a nonphysical person. Drange outlined “The Nonphysical-vs.-Personal Argument” as follows: If God exists, then he is … [Read more...]

The Comfort of Atheism

April 17, 2013 by Daniel Mann

Understandably, atheist and writer, Susan Jacoby, is exasperated: "At the endless talk about faith in God as the only consolation for those devastated by the unfathomable murders in Newtown, Conn." (NYT Sunday, 1/6/2013, 6) Newtown seems to expose atheism’s irrelevance and inadequacy in the face of life’s tragedies – death and suffering. However, Jacoby feels that atheism … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
