"Six Ways of Atheism" Answered

September 22, 2012 by Cory Tucholski

Geoffrey Berg, an unknown author with credentials he is deliberately concealing, has written a book entitled The Six Ways of Atheism: New Logical Disproofs of the Existence of God.  Berg touts the book as definitively disproving the existence of God, and containing arguments completely original to him. As it happens, neither is true.  None of the arguments are original to him, … [Read more...]

Video Response #1 To 18 Questions – My Atheist Friend, Michael

September 20, 2012 by Nelis Ebersohn and Jason Dennett

Can the Atheistic Worldview Answer 18 Questions of Fundamental Human Experience?  Is Atheism An Effective Explanation for what we observe in the Universe?  This is a video response to my atheistic friend, Michael, who recently began a dialogue with me regarding the evidence for the Christian Worldview.  In this video, I respectfully respond to the answers he gave me, and try to … [Read more...]

On the Importance of Terminology: Species and Speciation

September 18, 2012 by Ken Mann

This post is focused on two terms used in discussions about the history and origins of life. The terms “species” and “speciation” are used extensively to demonstrate that modern evolutionary theory, neo-Darwinism (a.k.a. “molecules to men” via natural processes alone) is a fact. Similar to the previous post I would like to inoculate the lay reader from being bullied by the … [Read more...]

Book Review: Sam Harris' Lying

September 16, 2012 by Prayson Daniel

“The 9th commandment defended” is my four words review of Sam Harris’ 26 paged book “Lying”. Harris succeeded to convince me “that lying, even about the smallest matters, needlessly damages personal relationships and public trust”. Harris is simply at his best in this noteworthy essay to which I, as a Christian theist, do concur with him in all areas but one major issue, namely … [Read more...]

18 Questions: An Invitation to My Atheist Friends

September 15, 2012 by Nelis Ebersohn and Jason Dennett

As a worldview, can atheism, naturalism, and materialism answer some of most fundamental questions of human experience? If a worldview cannot produce a sufficient explanation to the wide variety of phenomena and realities that humans observe in this universe, if it has little or no explanatory power or explanatory scope, it should be abandoned in favor of another worldview. I … [Read more...]

Theism and the Causal Principle: A response to DasAmericanAtheist

September 13, 2012 by Letitia Wong

For whatever reason, the following YouTube video caught my attention annoyance. Perhaps it is because this person is speaking so close to his webcam that his face nearly fills out the entire screen forcing the viewer to constantly gaze upon his John Travoltesque chin and/or that being so close to the camera gives the feeling that he is literally in-your-face to go along with … [Read more...]

9/11 – Two Worldviews, Two Responses

September 11, 2012 by Austin Gravley

On this day, eleven years ago, this nation was struck with a terrible act of evil. I don't have to recount the events - if you don't know the story of 9/11, you must be living in a cave. Last year I published a post on 9/11 and religious pluralism, but this year I want to focus on two worldviews, the atheistic worldview the Christian worldview, and their responses to 9/11. … [Read more...]

Media Review: Metamorphosis

September 9, 2012 by Steve Wilkinson

Metamorphosis is a video (available in DVD and Blu-ray formats) by Illustra Media about the amazing biological transformation process from caterpillar to butterfly. The main feature is a little over an hour long and there is a good amount of bonus material. The main feature is so packed with information, that this review is only going to scratch the surface. I am not a … [Read more...]

Book Review: The Reason for God by Tim Keller

September 7, 2012 by Carson Weitnauer

The Reason for God, by Tim Keller, is an outstanding response to the biggest questions of our day. Tim Keller is the highly regarded pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, a church with weekly attendance around 5,000. Redeemer has planted dozens of other churches and is generally considered to be one of the most influential churches in America. From the first … [Read more...]

William Lane Craig on the compatibility of evolution and theism

September 5, 2012 by Maryann Spikes

The first half of the 20 minute podcast, William Lane Craig shares his thoughts on theism's compatibility with evolution. :)  The second half is also good, on the fear of death.           . … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
