J.T.'s underwhelming critique of Christianity: Part Three

November 7, 2012 by Dwight Stanislaw

In wrapping up my refutation of J.T.'s critique of Christianity and arguments for God's existence, a large amount of material will be covered. Because of this, the installment you're about to delve into will be the lengthiest of the three. So, although no topic will be completely exhausted, patience and attentiveness will serve you well. Now then, let's proceed. Discussing … [Read more...]

On the statement that "we are all atheists"

November 3, 2012 by J.w. Wartick

"We are all atheists to other religions, we [atheists] just take it one step further." The phrase initially has some kind of shock value, and then it gets you thinking. As a Christian, it may have you thinking, "Wow, I never thought of it that way... maybe there is something to this 'atheism' thing." As an atheist, it may have you saying "Yeah, you Christians are just as … [Read more...]

The Devil’s Delusion by David Berlinski – A Book Review

November 2, 2012 by Carson Weitnauer

Bias. In order to undercut an unpleasant argument, just claim that prejudicial self-interest blinds another person from seeing the error of their ways. So what to make of Dr. Berlinksi, with a Ph.D. from Princeton and time spent as a postdoctoral fellow in mathematics and molecular biology at Columbia University, who opens his critique of the New Atheists by claiming: Here it … [Read more...]

The New Atheism and Five Arguments for God

October 30, 2012 by CAA Guests and Features

Reprinted with the gracious permission of William Lane Craig. Are there good arguments for God’s existence? Have the so-called New Atheists shown that the arguments for God are no good? Copyright © 2010 by Christ on Campus Initiative (CCI) It’s perhaps something of a surprise that almost none of the so-called New Atheists has anything to say about arguments for God’s … [Read more...]

Humanizing The Humanist

October 29, 2012 by Seth Osenkarski

Science is definitely an area of our society placed on a pedestal. Why shouldn’t it be, any fields of scientific research has yielded some great discoveries and essential inventions. Without the studies of physics, mathematics, and computer science I could not be communicating with you through the internet right now. However, the term science in the broadest sense is being … [Read more...]

J.T.'s underwhelming critique of Christianity: Part Two

October 1, 2012 by Dwight Stanislaw

At the end of Part One, found here, J.T. Eberhard tells his audience that the one argument Christians need to address is that there is no evidence for the existence of God (8:00). J.T. then moves into his critique and refutation of the various arguments Christians use when discussing their beliefs. Part Two will examine a few of these critiques and refutations in order to … [Read more...]

A Response to Dan Barker's Pagan Christianity

September 27, 2012 by Tyler Vela

Recently I was listening to a debate between Dinesh D’Souza and Dan Barker on whether or not religion is the problem with the world. Barker made several comments that I wanted to respond to, not because they were profound or compelling to answer the main question of the debate, but because they so clearly epitomized the problem with many of the New Atheists and their acolytes. … [Read more...]

Book Review: “Who Made God?” by Edgar Andrews

September 26, 2012 by CAA Guests and Features

Who Made God by Edgar Andrews offers a witty, heady read for Christians looking to interact with some of the most recent scientific theories. Targeted at Christians who have been befuddled by the latest scientific theories, interested skeptics who want to see if Christianity has anything to say about science, or Christian apologists looking to bolster their scientific … [Read more...]

On ENCODE, from the Last "Creationist" to Debate Richard Dawkins

September 25, 2012 by CAA Guests and Features

In light of the recent ENCODE results, we wanted to get Dr. Edgar Andrews' take on the matter, particularly as it concerns his debate with Dr. Richard Dawkins.  It is said that the last "creationist" Dr. Dawkins debated, before refusing to debate creationists (as defined by Dr. Dawkins), was Dr. Andrews.  After listening to this debate, I discussed it with Dr. Andrews and he … [Read more...]

Evolution, Morality, and Transformers

September 24, 2012 by Luke Nix

Recently I saw the movie "Transformers: The Dark Side of the Moon". I almost made it through the whole thing without a single thought about worldviews, philosophy, or apologetics. But, alas, near the end, something happened that my mind couldn't ignore (I pulled out my phone and immediately started taking notes). For those who are unfamiliar with the Transformers' basic … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
