Scientific Confirmation of Scripture

September 25, 2013 by CAA Catechism

[This post is a work in progress as part of the CAA Catechism.] [Add the title only in the title field, not in the body of the post.] Summary in 400 words or less: When people hear the words ‘Scientific Confirmation of Scripture,’ they often think ‘creation vs. evolution.’ However, scientific confirmation of Scripture includes much more than just questions about … [Read more...]

Science Killed The Christian God? – Part 1

April 5, 2013 by Nelis Ebersohn and Jason Dennett

(pt.1) Is Richard Dawkins right in saying that science is the only real discipline that can give us reliable knowledge about reality?  Has modern science buried the concept of the Judeo-Christian God?  Many atheists and naturalists would respond with a resounding "YES!" This is an all important question to answer in today's rising culture of "Scientism," which states that if a … [Read more...]

Has Science Eliminated GOD?

January 22, 2013 by Nelis Ebersohn and Jason Dennett

In this teaching, I investigate the all important question: "Has Science Eliminated the Need for God?"  In a culture that is growing increasingly more committed to materialistic naturalism, and to a strong devotion to "scientism", this is an extremely important issue to know how to address with your colleagues and friends when discussing the Christian Worldview. Here are 5 … [Read more...]

Book Review: Hidden Treasures in the Book of Job by Dr. Hugh Ross

January 14, 2013 by Steve Wilkinson

Hidden Treasures in the Book of Job is a book written by scientist, pastor, and astronomer Hugh Ross.[1] While it is, in some sense, a commentary on Job, it is also a considerably different treatment than I have run across before. Most people who analyze Job immediately jump into the suffering Job experienced, God’s sovereignty, or something along those lines. While these would … [Read more...]

Signs in the Stars

December 15, 2012 by Terrell Clemmons

"Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him." Thus was the question posed by the Magi upon arrival in Jerusalem, presumably to Herod, the king in situ at the time. What had they seen? Why did they come to Jerusalem? It makes sense that, if they were looking for the King of the Jews, they would go to Jerusalem. … [Read more...]

Christmas Science

December 13, 2012 by Jim Shultz

In an article from scienceblogs.com, the writer opens with this statement:  “If there's one universal trait among humans, it seems to be an unquenchable thirst for certainty.”   We want to know what is provable beyond a shadow of doubt.  Where would you guess that most of us think that type of certainty is found?  The realm of science!  How is it that Science supposes gives us … [Read more...]

Born Atheists?

September 5, 2012 by Glenn Peoples

Is atheism or theism more natural for human beings? According to online author Tim Covell, “Everyone is born atheist. Religion is learned.” Over at the “rational response squad” you’re treated to the claim that “Many people don't know it but everyone is born an Atheist, it's not until a child has religious beliefs Pushed on them with out any evidence to support them that they … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
