Popularity And The Word: The Truth of the Matter

May 20, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

I have been witnessing an alarming trend lately among people I know or people I have been reading about and, while it is an issue we in the apologetics circles know all too well, the trend needs some addressing. Lately, people have been compromising on some of their beliefs in the face of so called “scientific evidence.” We have all heard somebody say, “The Bible and … [Read more...]

"The Da Vinci Code" Critique – Part 2

May 18, 2013 by Darren Rodrigues

(I continue the critique form Part 1) This brings us to the primary contention by Dan Brown taken from Holy Blood, Holy Grail – that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene.  According to Brown’s character Teabing, “the marriage of Jesus and Mary Magdalene is part of the historic record.”[i]  His proof of this is two-fold.  One, because Jesus was a Jew, the obligation was that he … [Read more...]

New Apologetics PowerPoint Series

May 13, 2013 by Robin Schumacher

One of the websites I maintain is The PowerPoint Apologist, which is designed to provide free, polished PowerPoints on various Christian apologetic topics. To date, there are over 150 presentations on the site that can be downloaded, modified, and used. The files can also be obtained on my Slideshare site as well. In the past few months, I've teamed up with Brian Auten of … [Read more...]

Who is Your Daddy And What Does He Do? Part 4

May 13, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 This passage in 1 John 5:1 brings us to a name God probably wants us to know Him by most and that name is Father. God is our Father and we are His children. 1 John 5:1 says that if we believe that Jesus is the Christ then we are born of God. By definition being born of God would make us sons and daughters of God. Romans 8:15, “For you did not receive the … [Read more...]

An Unlikely Apologetic

May 7, 2013 by Robin Schumacher

Friday night is movie night in our home. After a week of work, school, and trying to stay on our diets, I get a movie for my daughters and myself, we pile into our theater room with it and loads of junk food, and enjoy while my wife does whatever she wants. I usually use Redbox for our movies and recently I noticed something that may have been there for a long time, but it’s … [Read more...]

"The Da Vinci Code" Critique – Part 1

May 3, 2013 by Darren Rodrigues

Note: Although I don't hear as much about "The Da Vinci Code" since its release several years ago, I do hear assertions derived from the gnostic gospels... this critique addresses both the book and gnostic sources, so I believe it is still relevant. Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code begins with the murder of the curator of the Louvre museum in Paris, Jacques Sauniere.  As he is … [Read more...]

Who Is Your Daddy And What Does He Do? Part 3

May 1, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Part 1Part 2 The proof of whether God knows the future or not is further illustrated by the number of very specific prophecies God laid down in the Old Testament in the years preceding Christ’s birth. Daniel is chock full of these specific. Daniel 2 tells us a story about one of the dreams of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and the interpretation of the dream given by … [Read more...]

The Mirage of Secular State Neutrality

April 28, 2013 by Robin Schumacher

Those wishing to strip religion from the public arena and ensure that it has no sway over any public policy or matters of government oftentimes point to various Nordic and European countries as models for how good things can be when faith has no public voice. They work hard at trying to produce facts on the higher education levels, lower crime rates, and other various … [Read more...]

Who Is Your Daddy and What Does He Do? Part 2

April 27, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Part 1 Another important fact and name of God is that of Creator. Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” God is the creator of all things and this is a very important concept to understand about God as it comes to the world today. Many people believe that God has not had a hand in our beginning. However, this idea is off base based on the very … [Read more...]

Who Is Your Daddy And What Does He Do? Part 1

April 20, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Who do you imagine God Almighty to be? The common view of God is that He is an old man with a long, flowing white beard in long robes; and if you thought of that, congratulations, you just thought of Zeus from Greek mythology. The modern-day version of God in the public consciousness is a representation given to us by the Greeks and their influence on Christian iconography in … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
