The Awe of Dreams and the Surreal

July 1, 2016 by Justin Steckbauer

Have you ever woken up in a dream and realized that you're still asleep?  Have you ever been convinced that you were awake only to find that were still in a dream?  Have you dreamt of a future that never existed?  What about about a past that never happened? Last night I looked up at the moon in the dark night sky and I was utterly shocked when it came into my mind that I'm … [Read more...]

Saint Odd

April 16, 2015 by Anthony Weber

Odd Thomas has become perhaps the iconic name associated with Dean Koontz. The series has sold over ten million print copies and 900,000 ebooks just in the United States. There are also three graphic novel prequels, a couple novellas, and a movie based on the first book. Odd Thomas deserves the popularity – and the acclaim. Odd is a genuinely good guy, devoted to doing the … [Read more...]

Creating Christian Media

November 1, 2014 by Zak Schmoll

God has created a world in which there are things that are beautiful. There are things that are good, and there are things that are right. We live in a world where some things are indeed better than others. We live in a world that is defined by objective values even if many people do not want to affirm that reality. … [Read more...]

David Hume’s Genuine Theism

January 11, 2014 by Prayson Daniel

“All the new discoveries in astronomy,” explained David Hume quo Philo, “which prove the immense grandeur and magnificence of the works of Nature, are so many additional arguments for a Deity, according to the true system of Theism.” (DNR 165) Superstition, following Hume, ravishes from us the “presents of God and Nature”. Liberation from the slavery of the grossest … [Read more...]

The Argument of Tears

December 15, 2013 by Terrell Clemmons

A typical crowd of tourists, seniors, and schoolchildren on field trips was mulling around the large lobby of the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. when a young man, wearing full military dress and carrying a cello, walked toward a chair curiously placed in the center of the large room and sat down. He took up his bow in one hand, stretched his … [Read more...]

Arguments from Beauty and Aesthetics

November 16, 2013 by CAA Catechism

[This post is a work in progress as part of the CAA Catechism.] [Add the title only in the title field, not in the body of the post.] Summary in 400 words or less: The argument from beauty takes many forms, as beauty itself come in many forms, and those forms cry out for explanations. Perhaps the most fundamental question regarding beauty and how to account for it is … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
