Playlist for an Apologist

September 20, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

A good song can go a long way into brightening your day. Don’t believe me? Just ask King Saul about the songs David would play and how they caused an evil spirit to depart from him. In fact, even God loves Himself a good melody. Psalm 150:3-6 mentions the many musical ways we can praise Him. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. … [Read more...]

Biblical Epic: Escapist Fantasy or Private Interpretation?

July 20, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

In addition to music, I am a huge movie buff. All types of movie genres are in my collection. One genre I despise, however, is the genre of the Biblical Epic. Why do you hate Biblical Epics when you love to study the Word? You might ask. The answer boils down to man’s basic spiritual problem, the integrity of the Word. Mankind simply doesn’t believe the Word to be true. This … [Read more...]

Do Any Atheists Live In A Moral Vacuum?

June 20, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Can an atheist really be good without God? This seems to be an age old question and something organizations like the Illini Secular Student Alliance (ISSA) would have you believe with billboards and advertisements to boot. Well, what does God think? Does God agree with this sentiment that someone can be good while not believing in Him? Psalm 53:1 says, “The fool hath said in … [Read more...]

Popularity And The Word: The Truth of the Matter

May 20, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

I have been witnessing an alarming trend lately among people I know or people I have been reading about and, while it is an issue we in the apologetics circles know all too well, the trend needs some addressing. Lately, people have been compromising on some of their beliefs in the face of so called “scientific evidence.” We have all heard somebody say, “The Bible and … [Read more...]

Who is Your Daddy And What Does He Do? Part 4

May 13, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 This passage in 1 John 5:1 brings us to a name God probably wants us to know Him by most and that name is Father. God is our Father and we are His children. 1 John 5:1 says that if we believe that Jesus is the Christ then we are born of God. By definition being born of God would make us sons and daughters of God. Romans 8:15, “For you did not receive the … [Read more...]

Who Is Your Daddy And What Does He Do? Part 3

May 1, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Part 1Part 2 The proof of whether God knows the future or not is further illustrated by the number of very specific prophecies God laid down in the Old Testament in the years preceding Christ’s birth. Daniel is chock full of these specific. Daniel 2 tells us a story about one of the dreams of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and the interpretation of the dream given by … [Read more...]

Who Is Your Daddy and What Does He Do? Part 2

April 27, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Part 1 Another important fact and name of God is that of Creator. Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” God is the creator of all things and this is a very important concept to understand about God as it comes to the world today. Many people believe that God has not had a hand in our beginning. However, this idea is off base based on the very … [Read more...]

Who Is Your Daddy And What Does He Do? Part 1

April 20, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Who do you imagine God Almighty to be? The common view of God is that He is an old man with a long, flowing white beard in long robes; and if you thought of that, congratulations, you just thought of Zeus from Greek mythology. The modern-day version of God in the public consciousness is a representation given to us by the Greeks and their influence on Christian iconography in … [Read more...]

Why Should the Devil Have All the Geek Culture?

April 4, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

To all of you geeks and nerds out there, a round of congratulations is in order.  The ridicule and hardship faced in grade school has finally paid off and your culture is now a mainstream phenomenon.  Shows like The Big Bang Theory have made it possible for people to not only laugh with but relate to the main nerdy characters. The current video game console generation sells … [Read more...]

When Christian Reform Met Classical Theory

February 21, 2013 by Seth Osenkarski

Have you ever been called a “Flat-Earther,” or compared with the Catholic Church persecuting Galileo? Well, no matter how inaccurate these ad hominem attacks are, they still can be damaging. It is a foregone conclusion in many circles of Academia that Christian thought is the enemy of scientific rationality. However, I would love to ask the question, “Where did scientific … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
