Open Letter to a Televangelist

February 2, 2015 by Stephen Bedard

Perhaps televangelist is not the correct term. I am not writing to any pastor who has services that appear on television. It may be because of my generation that I call television preachers who preach what is called "the prosperity gospel" televangelists. First of all, I respect the fact that you preach a message where your audience does not just listen but seeks a … [Read more...]

A Plea To Apologists

December 3, 2014 by Stephen Bedard

I am thankful for the opportunities that I have had to connect with apologists all over the world. I am greatly impressed by the intellectual ability of Christians striving for the Gospel. I know some who read books on philosophy and science whose titles I can't even pronounce. We badly need these intelligent defenders of the faith. But do we sometimes miss out on our most … [Read more...]

Who Do You Say That I Am? Not Michael!

November 2, 2014 by Stephen Bedard

The identity of Jesus is the most important question that we can wrestle with. Forget the age of the earth. Forget the dating of the Gospels. Who is Jesus? That is what we need to know. Every religion and philosophy has a different answer to that question. For the Jehovah's Witnesses, the answer is the archangel Michael. For Christians encountering that claim for the first … [Read more...]

Why Is There Even A Jesus Myth Theory?

October 4, 2014 by Stephen Bedard

I have spent much of my apologetics activity responding to the Jesus myth theory. My first book (co-authored with Stanley Porter) Unmasking the Pagan Christ and my first journal article were both responses to the Jesus myth theory. Although generally discounted by scholars, I believe that it is a dangerous theory that is influencing people through the medium of the internet. I … [Read more...]

Christian Apologetics Alliance is a Top 100 Christian Blog

Unity Statement

In essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things charity. The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is united in our Statement of Faith. The CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. Our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. The CAA joyfully welcomes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and diverse Protestant believers, and we are committed to treating all these traditions with respect in our community.
